Due to consistent growth we are looking for experienced and talented directional drillers on Behalf of a number of our Clients. The roles are predominantly based in Queensland - around the Bowen Basin (Mackay) Mount Isa, Gladstone, Rockhampton There are a number of opportunities from working on larger scale projects to smaller sites.

Provide advice and direction to external customer and third-party wellsite colleagues as appropriate.

Provide resolution to a diverse scope and range of complex problems at the wellsite where analysis of data requires having a broad knowledge of the product line's tool(s) and/or service(s).

Maintain frequent intra-organizational and external customer contacts with a high degree of professionalism.

Execute other related duties as assigned.

Conduct all business activities in accordance with company HSE policies

Successfully complete additional advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.

Work is evaluated upon completion by a Field Supervisor (where appropriate), local Operations Management and the external Customer to ensure objectives have been met

Work closely with other (Engineers, Specialists and Client Representatives) to achieve the job requirements

Perform directional drilling operations at the well site under the supervision of the lead engineer

Ensure that the company and any third party rental assets on location are maintained in good working order and are protected from damage and that

Complete projection of the well path to pre-determined target co-ordinates

Record operation data and complete relevant job documentation

Desired Skills:

previous 3 5 years of oil or gas drilling experience preferred

previous experience with horizontal/directional systems drilling highly preferred
-
associates degree or higher education in a technical field preferred

demonstrated leadership, mentoring, experience preferred

Intermediate computer skills for tracking and documentation

Two year Technical Degree preferred.

Broad knowledge of rig mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems and associated equipment (Essential)

Practical experience in awide range of drilling practices and techniques

Good mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
